Who is Educational Resources of MN, LLC?

Educational Resources of MN, LLC is a company that provides professional development for educators.  The company was created by Bob & Heidi Fink, a husband and wife team, and began in 2001 with its' first classes being held the summer of 2002.  The first year classes were held in two states (IA & MN).  Now, Educational Resources of MN is offering classes in 7 states for the summer of 2008 and nationwide with their video courses.  The company prides itself on designing courses that are up to date, practical and "real life."

Our academic partners vary from state to state:

What are class hours?

Class times may vary from state to state.  Please check the registration form for your specific state.

 

Can classes be taken in any order?

Yes, they can be taken in any order.  It does not matter which class you take first. 

 

Will this class be accepted for my graduate program?

Any student seeking to transfer graduate credits into a graduate program at another institution is advised to obtain prior approval from the academic advisor and the dean at that institution.  If you need more information from us, please contact us.

How do I know if a class can be used for either continuing education credits toward relicensure or towards a lane change (salary advancement) in my school district?

Credits earned from taking this course meet the requirements for license renewal and salary advancement when prior approval has been obtained by your state, district or employment personnel office.  Educational Resources encourages you to refer to your state and local guidelines.  If you need more detailed information about the course, please contact us.

 

If my school district would like more information about the course(s), what should I do?

Please contact us via email or give us a call at 1-800-278-8126 and we will send you a course syllabus and outline to present to the district office.  If there is a question in regards to the classes, Achieving Peak Performance, Developing Excellence in Others and Connecting With Today's Youth, the following items listed should also be noted:

1.  Accredited Universities/Colleges have approved these courses.

2.  All three courses have been approved by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.  In the State of

     Iowa, these three courses (Achieving Peak Performance, Developing Excellence in Others, and Connecting

     With Today's Youth) can be used to renew an Iowa teaching license if taken for college semester hours.

3.  These three courses (Achieving Peak Performance, Developing Excellence in Others and Connecting With

      Today's Youth) support the standard-based reform in MN.

In regards to our distance learning video course, Augustana College is our academic partner.  Augustana College is accredited through the North Central Association and is NCATE accredited.  The concepts and strategies discussed throughout this course are beneficial and applicable to anyone who is in a leadership position...whether you are a K-12 teacher, athletic director, counselor, coach or administrator.

 

When will I know if a class has reached the minimum enrollment?

As soon as we reach the minimum of 10 participants, we will send you a confirmation notice with the exact location of the class.  If you are sure you are going to take the class, we encourage you to register early. 

 

Will the class I signed up for be cancelled?

Educational Resources makes every effort to keep all classes in the schedule. Occasionally, a class does not have sufficient enrollment to be held. Your registration counts! Help us by registering early. If a class is cancelled, we will notify you approximately 9-14 days prior to the first day of class.  You may easily transfer to another class or receive a full refund.

 

I cannot download your registration form, what should I do?

Please email us (fink@educresources.info) or give us a call at 1-800-278-8126.  We would be happy to fax you a registration form or mail one to you.

 

Do you take credit cards?

Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

How do I obtain my transcript?

Once you have received your official grade report, you may request an official transcript from one of our academic partners, please see the information listed below.

  • Antioch University McGregor - The fee for a copy of a transcript is $5.  The request must be in writing.   Forms will be available during the seminar or write to:  Antioch University McGregor, Registrar's Office, 800 Livermore St., Yellow Springs, OH  45387.  The request should include the student's Social Security number, the name and address of where the transcript is to be sent, and the student's signature. 
  • Augustana College - An official transcript must be requested in writing (a signature is required).  This request can be faxed to:  (605) 274-4450 or mailed to:  Registrar's Office, Augustana College, 2001 S. Summit Ave., Sioux Falls, SD  57197.  There is no charge for a transcript.
